Autoframe Handheld Weaponry

Description

Some of the standard Autoframe handheld weapons they use for range combat.

1. HKEL/GRM Type 55 Photon Particle Rifle

- The Type 55 is the mainstay weapon of most humanoid Autoframes, especially the GENEVA series. It fires a beam of condensed high-energy photons through a series of capacitor and amplifying lens in the barrel, and has enough energy to interact with physical matter, allowing it to blast apart the target through sheer kinetic impact of the beam, and melt it into slag with its high temperature. It has good range and is very accurate and precise since the beam rarely refracts or go out of path. It feeds power from a magazine-type power pack and each magazine allows for 45 shots. Magazines can be recharged by means of solar power or docked onto recharging stations. Pilots can quickly remove empty magazines and reload in new ones in fashion similar to assault rifles. To prevent warping, the Type 55 can only fire in semi-automatic. It also features a laser range-finder in front of the handguard for marking targets and estimating range, as well as a carrying handle on top of the gun. It is typically delivered on the spot during the fitting of loadouts, or mounted on Flypacks, mobile weapon carriers, for immediate use by autoframes on the fly.

2. HKEL/GRM Type 55C Photon Particle Carbine

- Operating the same principles as the Type 55 Photon Particle Rifle, the Type 55C is a smaller and shorter carbine version of the Type 55. It has less firepower output and range as well as a carrying handle, but in exchange it is more compact and lightweight to carry around, making it suitable for autoframes such as the G-35 Sabre, the G-36 Shorea and the THAM-F M1 Falcon which need a range weapon that does not drag it down while moving at high speeds. Like the Type 55, it can only fire in semi-automatic to prevent barrel warping. It also uses magazine-type power pack and allows for 35 shots. It can be easily switched out for a fresh magazine when it runs dry, and is rechargeable by means of solar or specialized docking stations.

3. HKEL/GRM Type 66M Photon Particle Repeater

-  Unlike the Type 55 and its carbine variant, the Type 55C, the Type 66M has a thermal dispenser system installed, allowing full automatic fire. Powered by a much larger pan drum-shaped magazine-type power pack which allows for 250 shots, it also sports more firepower output per shot as the barrel is lined with electromagnetic plates at the end, allowing each bolt to be propelled at high velocities. Highly capable against enemy mechs and vehicles alike, any autoframe using a Type 66M can lay down a lethal suppressing layer of fire on ground, air and sea targets. Its larger size and heavier weight makes it a harder weapon to carry around for normal mechs, and only autoframes designed to wield heavy weapons such as the G-34 Armageddon can easily carry it around.
