Huang Jia Li is Target's childhood friend and has stayed at his side for a long time ever since they were kids. The long friendship with him turned into a slight crush on him and bloomed into admiration and love when Target protected her from delinqiuents in Secondary School. However, Jia Li did not possesed the courage to confess to him and both of them went seperate ways when Target left Singapore for duty overseas. Despite Target's long disappearance for almost ten years when he was stranded in the Middle East, she still clings on the belief that she will meet her beloved again in the future. To sustain her life, she took up the job as a drill instructor in the Singapore Armed Forces for a living. Eventually after waiting for ten years, she met Target again in a military convention in Singapore. When Target revealed that he was on a holiday and also on a diplomatic mission to sign a peace treaty between his newly established Africa and Singapore, Jia Li was delighted but also sad that he would not be staying forever. She decided to make full use of the limited time to confess to him and told Target to meet her at a park at night. However, to her surprise, Target was the one that confessed and proposed to her. She finally then accepts his proposal and kissed him. She was married to Target on 12 June 2034. She quit her career and joined in as a personal secretary to Target. On 2052, she suffered third degree burns from the Malaysian rocket attack while conceiving Nikolai and was dying. To save the unborn foetus and her, Target transformed her into a Lucifer mutant with a prototype virus. She and the baby was saved. From then on, Jia Li not only served as a secretary to Target but also as his companion in battle with her new found powers to control fire. She is an excellent wife, a very good mother and a competent soldier and commander in combat.
