Movska Attack Helicopter

The Movska MAH-57B is an attack helicopter in service with the IRS Military, primarily to provide close attack support for land-based forces against large numbers of enemy armored vehicles. It has also the capability to destroy enemy structures and go toe to toe with other helicopters or slow-moving VTOLs in mid-air as well as transporting a maximum of 10 soldiers to the battlefield, making it a well-armed transport helicopter of some sort. It's thick but lightweight Enhanced Tryomite armor plating allows the Movska to soak up small arms fire and absorb some anti-aircraft fire and still be flying in the air like nothing ever happened. The large amount of ammunition it carries in its weapons allow it to remain in the battlefield for longer periods of time, unleashing hell on the enemy before needing to return to base for rearming. It is also fast and agile as well as relatively cheap to produce compared to jet-powered VTOLs, making it a competitive piece popular among the Special Forces, counter-terrorist divisions and the local planetary military. The sight of a Movska destroying enemy tanks and suppressing legions of infantry is awe-inspiring to IRS troops, and conversely horrifying and shocking to the other side.

The Movska was born from project started by Central Command to restart the use of helicopters since VTOLs proved to be vulnerable to insurgent RPGs and were expensive to obtain and maintain. First used against the insurgents, the success allowed it to serve as a close support helicopter defending cities from foreign attack. It has seen numerous major wars of the IRS; flying through the azure skies of the Monarch and Chasan Invasions, and the Nagron attack on the IRS later on in 2085. It remains in service today, made anew with new weapon systems and a stronger armor more resistant against energy-directed weaponry. Some have been shipped to the IRS colony in Ancerious for local home defence.

Carrying a total of 48 Multipurpose HE Missiles and 40mm and 50mm ammunition numbering in the thousands, the Movska packs a serious punch against the enemy. The Multipurpose HE Missiles are used against armored vehicles but can also be utilized against other airborne targets and structures. The Autocannons provide it the means of shredding infantry and keeping them at bay and can also be used to harass light armor. These weapons can be replaced with other weapon modules mostly with little effort. Such weapons include larger anti-vehicle rocket pods, laser beams, plasma cannons and bombs of various payloads mounted below the wingspans. Napalm, Thermobaric, Tactical Nukes, Biological Canisters, Plasma Rods and newly-developed Neutron Bombs are such examples.

While usually stationed in airbases and helipads, Movskas can also be accommodated on aircraft carriers and other naval vessels that can house them.
