Mystikann Conscript Soldier

*Another alien soldier I began to sketch during my free time, this time its the Mystikann soldier*

Many would like to think that for such an ancient civilization with god-like technology, its military forces would be as equally advanced as well. The popular misconception of the state of the Mystikann military was wrong; in actual fact they were relatively primitive and hastily cobbled together with normal Mystikann civilians who were forced to perform military service by the Khrastroyas, the natural-born warrior caste, after their successful coup on the civilian Mystikann High Council and the murder of all its decadent, hedonistic and aristocratic Councilors. The High Council had already arrogantly expended a large number of Krastroyan lives as their solution towards stopping Nagei's advance, and the Khrastroyans were desperate to stop the Markenns before they annex and destroy any further. With their military industrial prowess crippled and never was actually well developed to begin with, the Khrastroyan Supreme Council decided to conscript the Mystikann civilians into military service and use them to delay the Markenn invasion while they use the freed up resources to pursue development of 'solutions' to end the war quickly. This decision was also motivated by their hatred of the hedonism and aristocratic lifestyles that the Mystikanns had degenerated into which costed them any serious chance to strike back at the Markenn earlier. 

Thus the Konscrapta, or Conscripted, was initiated and billions of Mystikann civilians were dragged by Khrastroyan personnel from their comfortable homes and placed in military barracks where they were drilled and taught the basics of warfare such as aiming and firing a gun among other things. Their training was hastily conducted before they were geared up and shipped to major conflict zones. The combination of the lack of proper training and the lack of proper equipment led the Konscrapta to easily die in the millions just in a single deployment against the more numerous, more powerful and better armed armies of the Markenn. Casualties amounted to trillions and the Mystikann race was effectively almost extinct but throwing the masses of lives bought enough time for the Khrastroyans to finish constructing galactic superweapons which they used to end the war once and for all, destroying the Markenn and killing Nagei.

By todays standards, the equipment used by the Konscrapta are still very much advanced but considered simple and primitive when compared to the more advanced and god-like technological wonders the Mystikann made present in their starships and ability to bend and manipulate space-time itself. This was due to the lack of military resources caused by the massive destruction of the Markenn advance which took over and destroyed millions of planets in its wake crippling their industrial potential in addition to the serious lack of action taken by the civilian Council. The Konscrapta are given Plasma Beam Rifles which are inelegant, simple in design and largely ineffective on their own against advanced Markenn units and wear a suit of energized armor over a padded trenchoat which can only take so much hits before breaking. Fully enclosed combat helmets allow a Konscrapta to access to battlefield information, analyze the local environment and a HUD for computer-assisted aiming as well as protection from gaseous chemicals and vacuum of space using in built respirators. All of these are powered using miniature plasma cells since the Khrastroyans don't expect them to last long.

In addition to the standard issue Plasma Beam Rifles, the Khrastroyans decided to prolong the Konscrapta's usefulness by giving them a larger variety of weaponry to tackle different types of Markenn units. Plasma Handheld Accelerators for heavy anti-armor combat and Particle Pulsars for heavy anti-infantry combat alongside projectile launchers and grenades.
